On Saturday Nov.18th, 2023 the Sunshine Coast Grandmothers and Grand Others held their annual Bazaar from 10 am. to 2 pm. and raised close to $6000! A steady flow of customers came to purchase the famous baking, jams and jellies, knits and crafts created by the talented women in the Sunshine Coast GG's. A delicious lunch of homemade soups and scones and the famous pies were served throughout the day. Proceeds from the Bazaar, as always, will go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation supporting African Grandmothers who are raising a generation of children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
A special thank you to Christy for once again managing the organizational feat in coordinating the preparation, setup and take down of the bazaar. It went so smoothly and everyone played their part with ease. Also thankyou to Marlene for heading up the kitchen organization and food nourishment once again. We really appreciated the support from Diana Lux, manager of the Roberts Creek Hall who was incredibly helpful. And grateful thanks to all the members of the GG's who brought their wonderful talents to the table and raised a considerable donation to be sent to the Grandmother's campaign.
