Easter Bake Sale
Saturday, April 16, 2022
After an absence of two years due to Covid, our popular Easter Bake Sale was held once again in Trail Bay Mall, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Judy, Glenna and Eileen have been organizers of this event for many years. Eileen has now moved away, but Judy and Glenna continued the tradition. Contributions for the sale came from Judy, Glenna, and many other members.
The sale was very successful! There is very little on the tables in the photo, because this is close to the end of the event, and we sold so much!
There were lots of positive comments. Many people seemed to know about “the grandmothers" and the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the work we do.
Our customers were happy with their purchases—especially the children who bought crocheted Easter bunnies carrying chocolate eggs!
We raised $750.00 to send to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. From the foundation, all the money will be sent to community groups which have grandmothers as their core. The grandmothers and their families have suffered and continue to suffer, the ravages of AIDS.
With community participation, we were able to support our partner grandmothers in Sub-Saharan Africa . . . and we had a good time doing it!

Valentine's Bake Sale
Saturday February 12, 2022
On a chilly sunny Saturday, a group of us met for a Valentine's bake sale from 10am to 12 noon outside at Living Faith Lutheran Church.
Contributions of goodies came from our members. The church gave us the site to sell, tables and chairs and a large chalkboard for signage. It was a huge help! Thank you so much to Living Faith!
It was cold! But we made $400, and our intrepid sellers were cheerful throughout!
