Throughout 2019 we participated in ongoing and one-time events to generate funds, tell our story, and raise the profile of the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
We participated in Earth Day, Slow Sundays, Seedy Saturday, Fall Fair, and the Farmers’ market.
We hosted a bake sale, a pie sale, offered wreaths, and sold our totes and crafts at local shops. A significant project was the “estate sale” at which we liquidated the entire contents of a small condo.
Our year finished up with a wonderful Bizarre Bazaar, held at Roberts Creek Hall on November 16th. There was the wreath raffle, silent auction, white elephant table, book, crafts, jams & jellies, jewellery — and most importantly, the café, with delicious soups and baked goods. Total proceeds: $5500.
The work of the entire year amounted to just over $17,000.
